I have an issue trying to connect the device to the PC. After I install the software and connect the phone using PC Studio Mode, everything works fine. However, any subsequent attempts to connect the phone with this mode fail; nothing happens and I just see "not connected" in the connection status.
Just as strangely, I can always connect with the multimedia mode - which is pretty useless to me.
I have tried installing the USB drivers first and then the software. I have tried installing the software first and then the USB drivers. I have tried just installing the software (it turns out it installs the drivers). All with the same result.
If I uninstall the software and reinstall it I can again connect in Studio mode once only. If I open up the studio and then connect the phone, it comes up with the phone name in the status bar and I can interact with the phone. If I then close the software and start it up again, the status reads 'not connected' and I am once again unable to connect (yep, even though I had not disconnected the phone).
I have tried installing and then not updating the software, as well as updating the software - no change. I am running 3.2.2 HG.
I experienced this with the phone out of the box. I then flashed the device up to F480XXHF7 and then F480XEHJ1 with no change (other than the enhancents of the firmware updates).
Has anyone experienced this? Has anyone resolved this?
