Well here it goes. The Navy. Yeah I signed up. Don't do it for the love of god. I don't want to say I don't like my country or hate the people. I don't the navy is not the way to fight terrorists or anyone for that matter. I happen to be a Democrat and somewhat of an Idealist. Those to things will get you hounded by a bunch of war hawks who want to bomb everyone and send everyone to fight. I enlisted after college (Way bad idea). Couldn't go officer because they didn't think I was an upstanding citizen. I was honest. I am a decent person and now I realize that most if not all the officers who get in to OCS are rich white kids who have had everything brought to them on a silver platter.
So now I get to wait on them hand and foot. I make their beds cook for them and take out their trash. I was put into school for over a year and after that I swab the deck and do nothing. I hate it. I was suppost to be an ET not a goddamn janitor. The chiefs, your bosses are struck with god syndrome will fuck you in the ass because they want you to kiss their asses. God get me out. I cannot do five more years of this. I will either be dead or in the Brig. I swear another year of this and I will off myself on watch.
 
I realized after a year or so the Army was not for me.

Then the first Iraq Attack began and I waited until the war was over to get out. They liked me though, the higher ups. So they offered to sign anything I wanted to get me out with an Honorable. So I looked at the discharges, and the one that fit was "Failure to Overcome Bar." That means that if you fail 2 PT tests in a row and feel you can't do it, they give you an Honorable and let you out. I don't know if it's the same in the Navy.

So they forged papers saying that during the war I failed PT tests. Like during a war they give you PT tests HAH! Anyhow, I was out and stateside in a week.

The military is not for everyone. Good fucking luck man.
 
It's a full on uphill battle, but it gets easer. And don't bother counting down the days till you get out, that only makes it take longer.
