I got my first car (Jeep Liberty 04) from a dealership. At the time, I was a retarded and liked watching fast and furious like every other 16 year old retard. I let my step-dad do all the walking and talking (he picked the car as well).
Anyways, I'm reading carinfo.com and I'm noticing the similarities on what they say salesmen tactics are. So the Jeep was 8K sticker price. When we finally settled down, they went back and forth reprinting the pre-invoice or something like that. We talked to 3 different guys, not sure which was the owner. The Jeep ended up being 10k. We originally didn't want the alarm but my step-dad was really tired of arguing and debating. The car alarm was over 2k but we dropped it to like 1.5 or something. They have a 5k money back if the car gets stolen but the small print said the dealership gets 3k back. We ignored that. (bad idea)
So now I'm wondering how much was this car alarm really... The jeep is a good price but I can't sleep knowing that we probably got ripped off 1,00 bucks.
It really isn't an alarm btw. It is just an extra key the way I see it. It is a small plug that is next to the actual key and you inject it to a very small box that flashes red when you can't start the car. If you don't use it, the car just won't start but still plays radio, lights, etc. So how much is it+installation?
