if your LO is under the age of about 10 and assuming that Rx is correct, they most certainly need full time glasses wear in order to prevent accommodative esotropia, suppression, & resultant amblyopia.
but (believe it or not) if they're under 10 they probably "see" pretty well. they probably wont complaint about "blurry" vision...ever. especially if they're under about 4.
but! LO still needs full time glasses wear to prevent esotropia. very important. one of the most important reasons for Rx'ing glasses in children
