Yeah it's an I-can-become-better anime for girls and lacks fanservice, action but the storyline is compelling. I like the cutesyness of it but it's not over the top childish like Lilpri.

Episode endings have cliffhangers so there's a bit of maturity to it and it doesn't leave me feeling like I just watched a be a little do-gooder lesson of the day.

I'd say this show definitely has a much more complex vibe to it than it appears to on the surface. It even has a tearjerker episode early on.

Don't be put off by it's storyline of girl strives to be a professional pastry chef, aww how sweet. The show has a bit of "spice" to it as well.

I'm loving it and none of the episodes I've watched have been disappointing or boring.

There was one small complaint that I did have (but ended up not being an issue after all): I didn't know the show had magical mascot characters, and was hoping it wouldn't have any. But when "Vanilla" showed up, I was like oh no at first, because the main character is going to be like "I can gain talent with the use of magic." But Vanilla was the one who made her wake up and smell the coffee by saying I don't actually have any special powers that will improve your ability. You're on your own sister. That was cool.

Indeed. In fact, that's what got me to really think "Hey, this is kinda special."

I think I just started watching this on a whim because I had finished Yakitate Ja-pan and was like "Oh, look another baking anime." I was impressed mainly by the fact that it was so delightfully charming and at the same time still cutesy enough that I can see the young-girl appeal.

I really encourage people to check this out. It's actually ending soon so if you wanted to get into it, it's a great time to start.

Wasn't a North American license announced for it recently? Or am I thinking of something else?

This is a show I'd like to see, being a cook and all, but I really don't enjoy watching online content.
