Extreme tiredness related to Blueberries?

Can someone eat a food (in my case fresh blueberries) and have no problems until after the third or fourth day of eating them? It almost seems like there is this "buildup" in my system because I can eat blueberries for 2-3 days with no problems but then after about the third day I begin to experience extreme tiredness with some burning eyes/sinuses. If I stop eating them the symptoms go away within a couple of days. I don't have stomach cramps or anything like that which are usually indicative of a food allergy. Has anyone ever experienced this symptom with a food?

Some of my food allergies act the same as what you described. For example I am fine if I eat bananas for a day or two and then after that it is like my body starts yelling at me, "Are you crazy or something?" The bananas don't make me tired but, I do believe that there is something that I eat that makes me extremely tired. Unfortunately I have not pinpointed what that food is. I guess I have to start doing my food diary again so I can figure it out.

:)When I talked to my allergist about my food allergies here is what he told me that may be helpful to you. If you eat an over abundance of one given food you can develope an allergy to it because you can eat to much of one thing. He said to spread it out. Once you develope a food allergy then you need to remove the food for a couple of weeks. Maybe 2 to 4 weeks and then re introduce it slowly. See if that works. When I got tested the fooRAB I reacted to on the test where the ones I ate the most of. How weird huh? But the info he gave me was very valuable. Good luck!

Thanks for the info:) I kind of figured that might be the issue but didn't know since I don't usually overindulge on any one particular food (except blueberries!). I don't think I was ever tested for blueberries but I'll mention this on my next visit to my allergist to see if he feels I need to be tested specifically for blueberries.

The same thing happens to me with caffeine and Aspartame. The diuretic affects of caffeine are increased like, 100-fold with me for some reason, so I stopped drinking caffeine altogether, but once in a while I'll have it and it doesn't bother me. But if I have it for a couple days in a row, that's when I start peeing every five minutes.
And same with Aspartame. It gives me migraines. But if I only have it one day, like gum with aspartame in it, I'm okay. But if I have it two days in a row, I get a migraine.

And I agree with TEdwarRAB83. I became lactose intolerant when I was about 19, and it took me a while to figure it out (like, 3 years!) and then I stopped eating dairy, except for milk and the lighter stuff that didn't bother me. And when I really wanted to have cheese or ice cream, I would take Lactaid. And then I had a stomach bug last winter, and I couldn't eat dairy for a week (they advise against it when you have diarrhea), and when I got better, I found that I was no longer lactose intolerant, because I didn't have ANY lactose for a whole week.
