I have a history of back pain. Lately, there's been no pain. Today, I went for a 25 minute walk. The pain on my left side was very sharp, to the point I couldn't put pressure on my leg, nurabness, tingling. Why, just a simple act of walking cause so......much pain?

Sometimes there's no rhyme or reason to what causes our back pain to get better or worse. Something as simple as blowing your nose or picking up a newspaper can be the proverbial straw.

Are you seeing a doctor for your back problem? Do you know what's going on in there? Have you done the PT route? A little more information about your condition would help.

Glad you found us. I hope you'll find some help and answers here as you progress down this "back" road!

Blessings,
Emily

Welcome on board!
I am not sure what is exactly the problem with your back but seems to me that you need to go and be evaluated by your Spinal Ortho. Very important to know what causing you so much pain.

I had 2 spinal fusions and can tell you that with back problems you take day at the time; some days you are able to do more than on others. Some days walking is a pleasure, on some is impossible to achieve.

If you have nerve compression - pain during walking may be due to inflammation of the nerve... and so much more...

Take care of yourself and best of luck!
