extreme anxiety possible other mental illnesses (no insurance)?

over a year now almost 2, i've been suffering from servere anxiety, i get extremely scared to go anywhere in public it's to the point where i'm even scared to speak to my own family i'm only 22 i used to be very socialiable . i don't know what to do or how to go about it any idea? i spent countless hours searching the internet and came up with nothing what so ever. any ideas what could have caused this? i was also hospitalize in a mental facility for 3 days and they said i have bipolar disorder could that have anything to do with it? thanks for you time i appreciate it
