External flash for a Canon Rebel Xti?

I have a Canon Rebel Xti camera and I'm looking for a basic external flash. Suggestions anyone??

Canon 430 EX II... This is a sweet flash I have ti for my Canon 40D, it syncs up with your camera so your pictures are flawless... if you go cheap, you wont have this luxury... Spend the $325 and go big.

Canon Speedlight 420X or 430X if you want to spend the extra money for an LCD screen
