Exposed to strep, showing all symptoms, negative test?

My daughter has had strep throat. This particular strain of strep only caused her to run a really low grade fever, constant sneezing, sore throat, bad congestion. My niece, whom she more than likely caught it from had same symptoms. Now I am sick, feel like utter crap, with exact same symptoms. I went to a walk-in clinic yesterday, and the strep test was negative. This morning, my throat hurts even worse, so I looked at it with a flashlight. It's red, irritated, and there is this one spot on my tonsil that looks like a pimple with a white head. I have the exact symptoms they had, yet the test was negative. I thought the nurse that swabbed me didn't swab good, so i don't know. Is it possible for it to be negative yesterday, and show up positive tomorrow if i go to doctor (which I am thinking of doing)? thanks

she might just have tonsillitis. or the test is wrong. it always happens to me. i have been exposed many times and gotten it and so of the tests came back negative even though 2 days later they were positive. so all in all, LOL the tests are not always right and is she on any medication?
