Explanation for this net ionic equation! Why?

I have this equation to balance and get the net ionic equation for. AgNO3 + Na2SO4 --> and I put AgSO4 + Na2NO3.
At the end I'm left with Ag+ + SO42- --> AgSO4.

But when I compare with other people's work on the internet they all have 2Ag+ + SO42- ---> Ag2SO4.

Can someone explain why they needed to multiply by 2? I understand to balance the equation at the beginning but it is still balanced if you don't multiply it by 2. Please help, thank you!
I know what the charges for them are I just didn't know if it was the SO42- charge that came down to make Ag, 2Ag?
