There is only little left of the legacy in once civilised Greece.
All forgotten, destroyed and in ruins - like their Parthenon, the Oracle of Delphi and many others.
Most of once proud and highly educated civilisation did turn to Paganism and lost any interest in their heritage.
It's only the hard work of some educated Greek scholars, who keep refreshing some of the the legacy, that we know today what Greece once was.
