w/car? Help? I work in atlanta, I live in NY, i bought a car in FL, two years ago. That's the facts so far, yesterday I was stopped for expired tags, which I find out are over a year expired. The tags are FL issue, since buying it there. I am now without my transportation work is on hold, I'm now seeking desperately the next steps to take to correct this, and get a temp tag from any state? I need to get to NY before Christmas with my car preferably. I do know the places I need to go, the police office, and the impound, and what steps I need to take to get a release form, however my main issue is, how do I drive my car from the Impound, what must I do to get it legal to drive away with, and back to NY, then reg there. Honestly, I was not aware of my expiration until I was here not too long ago. But I don't live here, I live in NY, so naturally i was planning to register it in NY when I got back. Now I'm screwed, any advice ? Thank you
