Exhaust pipe, burning metal color? new car?

i drove it when it was raining in 2 days and i notice a little white smoke coming out of the exhaust but it went away.
i got my new 2010 car 3 days ago. i notice that the exhaust pipe looks like a burning metal color? is this normal?
