So here is my short tale. I am very overweight (231lbs, 5'5, pre-pregnancy) I also have PCOS. I was working on my weight and diet for some time before finding out I was pregnant. PCOS has a greater chance of miscarriage, and my weight doesn't help either, so for the first half of my pregnancy I just worked on the diet half and took it easy. I've pretty much only been walking my dog for exercise. (not easy, he's a puppy but he's a german shepard/american staffordshire puppy, at 8 months old he's pretty big/strong) ANYWHO...I've made it to the halfway point. I feel my baby moving around and that really puts my mind at ease. Soooo I've decided for my health and my baby's that it is time to start up a new exercise program. Mind, body and soul is my pregnancy focus. idk how to ask this. The question is stuck in my head...one second....ah yes. I would just like some recommendations for good pregnancy exercise. If you had a video you really enjoyed or a website you think would help, PLEASE leave it in your comment. Thank you in advance. Oh....please remember, I am not in great physical shape, and now I have added weight (242lbs) so please, something easy to ween myself back into working out.
I love to swim. I told my bf I was going to go spend the rest of my pregnancy in Arizona so I could swim in his mom's huge pool. lol. Me and the pup go on very long walks. We walk down to the river (about a mile) hang out in the park then walk home twice a day. Now before I got pregnant I would dance aound my house from room to room until I got tired and HAD to sit down. I also was doing tai chi to work on my balance. So as far as exercise programs I'm accustomed too (i forget how she put it) would those both be acceptable? Can I do those while pregnant? I hear my balance will be all off the further along I get, its already setting in, so the tai chi worries me.
I love happy encouraging answers.
