I have been getting discouraged every time I start a workout routine. I have been doing a lot of intervals on the treadmill that deals with sprinting and increasing and decreasing my incline. Unfortunately, every time I do an exercise routine for awhile, I don't see results. I know I wont see results right away, but when I put on my jeans they feel tighter around my thighs. Also my stomach seems to be a little bigger after abdominal exercises. I know that's the muscle that is getting bigger, but I thought cardio was supposed to get rid of fat. My main question is, should I still stick with the treadmill and other cardio routines and eventually my jeans will get looser? I just feel like giving up when my exercise is giving me the complete opposite effect I was hoping for.
PS. My diet has not changed except I dont drink sodas at all anymore and Im trying to eat smaller portions and less sweets.
