I was in a really bad accident, and currently am in a lot of pain. I would like to slowly add physical activity back into my routine, as well as regain some strength, but am not sure how to go about it. I will ask my physiotherapist of course once I begin that, but I am just wondering if anyone knew anything that would be fun and not too strenuous. I would like to keep my flexibility, but also know I cannot do that easily right now with so much tissue damage. I also have the added problem of my left wrist being slightly broken at the moment, so limitations that way. Right now I am just trying to do daily activities (I even have to get a stool for the shower from my occupational therapists, I can barely do anything at the moment), but am wondering what I can start adding in once I am more able. I know swimming is supposed to be easy on the joints, but am unsure what exactly I would be doing that way. I used to do swimming for bronze cross, etc. a few months back, but obviously that is not what I am after. I just don't know what the classes would be called for in the water (ones a lot of elderly will take to keep in shape that's easy on arthritis), and was wondering how beneficial it actually is. Thanks!
