Hi, Several people have posted having success in relieving herniated disc pain with stretching and exercise. I would like to know what type of exercises/stretching has been helpful. I had a discectomy about 5 months go and have gotten the go-ahead to do any type of exercise I want. I am still pretty nervous about re-injuring the disc, however, so I want to make sure I am doing exercises that are "safe" and beneficial in strengthening the lower back muscles. I would talk to a PT but med insurance will not cover it and I just can't afford it right now.
