Ok I am 20 and overweight.
About a month ago my doc diagnosed me with type 2 diabetes, which i suspected as all my family except my brother have it and my weight. This scared me a bit, seeing how much my family suffer with it, with injections, getting dead skin cut off their feet etc. And since then I have been eating healthy consuming 1700-1800 calories a day (mainly steamed vegies and lean meat) and walking for an hour each day and have lost 3 kilos. Which I am really happy with.
I am thinkng about doing more cardio exercise to burn more calories as I feel my fitness has improved a bit. So what exercise should I start doing?
A friend told me a circuit system would be good idea.
Please note I still am overweight and don't want to go anything to hurt myself, I have week joints in my knees and ankles due illness (cushings) so can't do squats or dips (last time I dip these i pushed through the pain but my legs ended up falling from underneath me and I hurt my ankle)
Also would I be better off buying an exercise bike or treadmill?
Thanks
Also am I consuming the right amount of calories?
Some days I go under to about 1500
Should I reduce it more?
