...way his work was read? I'm doing some research on authorial intention, whether it is valid to take what an author says about their work and what they meant as the ultimate reading. I just need an example of where an author has come out and said what their work meant, but it did not fit the common reading. E.g. Samuel Beckett "If Godot was meant to be God, I would have said" Thanks!
