My ex husband is in jail for aggravated stalking and violation of a no contact bond. I'm the victim. I have a TPO against him for the children and me for another incident that he is being charged with Terrorist treats and 2 counts of cruelty to children. Our divorce was final Nov 30th and visitation resumed with no contact between him and me. I was told by my attorney that the divorce papers would override the TPO and he could see the kids so that's what we have been doing. Well long story short he was arrested a few days ago for the aggravated stalking ( he kept threatening me, coming by, and leaving intimidating messages). His parents called me last night to ask what time they could pick up the kids today (this would have been his weekend) and said they would be taking the kids to the jail to visit him. Are you kidding me?? Do I have to let his parents take the kids? H Will I get in trouble? The papers state visitation is with their Dad not the Grandparents. Honestly I'm going to take my chances on this and not let them go....just wanted to see if anyone has been in the same situation. I have also involved DFACS because he was drinking and driving with our son in the truck on the last visit...but they haven't started the investigation yet. Thanks in advance for any advice or experience with this.
