Just a note to say that the story reported by rabroad is a bit confused. Ewan and Hugh Jackman are up for the same role as leading man Joe Gillis (originally played by William Holden) opposite Glenn Close as Norma Desmond (originally played by Gloria Swanson) in the Lloyd Webber musical version of Sunset Blvd, there's no way they could both be in the movie, as the only other lead male role is the butler, who's much older than either (played by German director Erich von Stroheim in the 1950 movie).
