Most paleoanthropologists believe that organisms indicated by the skeletons depicted in this lab are not direct descendants from each other. It should not be assumed that there is a direct evolutionary line between these three organisms. However, all three animals probably evolved from some common ancestor. Explain this reasoning using the data you have accumulated and your understanding of evolutionary principles.
Your essay should include:
- a comparison of the data between the various skeletons
- a comparison of the biochemical data between modern organisms
- an explanation why the data suggests common ancestry, not direct linkages
- a description of the probable characteristics and abilities of the fossil primate.
(ex- could it talk? have language? stand upright?)
I dont really know where to start. Tell me what you know about all this stuff
