evolution debate question?

so i am in opposition to a creationist view for a debate in my biology class, she is planning on asking this question....

If DNA is so different, how can it be from a common ancestor?
I NEED HELP WITH A GOOD REBUTTAL!

also. if you think of any other questions she might throw at me and you have a good rebuttal to those too that would be great. i really need a good grade on this!!!
also... the main idea the debate is on is homologous structures... sorry, that may have helped
 
DNA is NOT so different. We share 98-99% of our DNA with chimpanzees and about 90% of it with bacteria!

Also, the power of DNA is that it mutates, i.e. evolvues. Similar to that you look different than your grandparents did at your age, even though there are some similarities.

I doubt any of her rationale arguments will be about DNA. Creationists just don't have any data on their side, just lots of belief and faulty thinking.

One argument may be to go back to first principles, e.g. you might be asked "So if life was created, how did life first come out of something that was lifeless?" But that's like asking how the universe came out of nothing before the Big Bang.

Lack of data does not require faith, just more study and discovery.
