everyone says dont buy a bike from the department store?

I think so we just dropped over 700 bucks on new bikes and decided to get the northrock bikes from costco. we chose costco because we cant afford the specialty bike shops. costco has an amazing return police my father in law got a bike there 3 years ago it broke this past week and they took it back no questions asked no receipt needed if you ahve a costco well worth it i love my bike

are sports shops like sports authority ok?

I know I have to get properly fitted- they have a fitting center a couple of our sports shops but I want to know if its ok to buy a bike from there?
