Gordon Brown won the debate. Why? I thought, and everyone I know thought, Gordon Brown hammered Cameron. And Clegg did OK but seemed contrived and irrelevant. These were Labour and Tory voters. What happened? I am normally very in sync, and can view / assess these things dispassionately.
