Hi,
I’m an enthusiast photographer however recently my point-and-shoot camera, a backup to my DSLR, died. Ended up being because of too much humidity and dust (keen skier, camper and hiker – especially to get that ‘perfect shot’) so have decided on its replacement being a rugged one.
Choices are between the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FT2 and the Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-TX5. I am aware of the specs for each; so leaving the megapixels/“ruggedness” battle out of it as the ratings for both are sufficient, I’m looking for anyone with experience in either and/or both of these cameras – and who can recommend/not recommend either; based on your experiences. Movie quality is not an important aspect for me – but reliability, ease of use (touch-screen on TX5?!), image quality etc. are.
Thanks for your help!
