Every pc in my life is a piece of shit

I currently alternate between three separate computers and they're all irreparably fucked. None of them work right and they've driven me to wits end. The only one i actually own(shitty Compaq laptop) is like a dying cat, every last thing in it has descended into twisted hell. Broken screen, blown out sound card, faulty disc drive, extremely bad wireless. My sister's(the one i'm using to type this very rant) has a broken screen as well (it's hinges are fucked) a broken space key(imagine my joy so far) and it has heated so considerably that i fear i'm not only sterile, i'm most likely paralyzed below the waist. The third is a beat up desktop which, despite two upgrades still runs like a midget with a ball and chain. Today, it officially stopped letting me run Windows and i am reduced to safe mode antics to enjoy my various TV shows. I'm probably going to buy a new computer now, but i fear it will only be adding to the growing pile of shitty electronics in my life
 
Get rid of all of that crap! I had my computer built by a local guy, and despite him not following my instructions and wiping my hard drive, we have a nice, fast running computer with 4g ram and a bunch of othergood qualities that I'm not qualified to talk about. Paid $420 total.

Where do you live. If in the US, saving money for some months is enough to get one great PC. Why do you bother trying to fix the one's you've already got?
