i stood in the line to preorder a wii for like 30 mins until the store opened, plopped down 200 bucks for some games, a system, an extra controller, 2 nunchucks, and a classic controller.

On launch day i went in and picked it up. Whole thing took about 5 minutes. Got a free zelda game guide too.

I learned ALOT from the 360 launch. 17 hours in the cold was fucking retarded. It definately pays to think ahead.

It really is best just to wait until they are sitting on the shelves (which for ps3 is now) because its just easier to be able to walk in the store and buy one and also by that time most manufactures have most of the bugs worked out (except for apparently the 360 )...
