ever notice this about movies and books?

That in like, every movie the hero is like a good version of the bad guy?

examples....

harry potter is like voldemort (in book two tom riddle makes this statment as well "we are very alike")

in raiders of the lost ark, indy is compared to renee beloque (belouee makes thisstatement as well "you are like a shadowy reflection of myself")

in star wars, luke is like darth vader/anakin. ("you are much like your father")

oh theres so many more but thoose are the few i can think of from the top of my head. if you've noticed this too, what are some you can think of?
 
It creates an interesting contrast for the writer... to show how two similar people can end up so different. Also if there was too much dissimilarity, one of them would win easily. For instance if the bad guy was wayyy stronger, the book would be over on page one.
