SKY (an Italian channel) is currently available on Bell Express Vu on Nimiq 2

As for SKY News and SKY Sports there was no info that Bell was looking to get that channel

We just received today the new programming brochure...the second feed of the US network is now part fof the Digital Standard which is therefore 32$ instead of 31$

AEV - or anyone else........

Do you know if there are any plans for Bell to release an updated programming brochure that indicates all the recent changes to the line up and packages or do you happen to have one you can post somewhere (an official one, not a simple text channel breakdown)? The one on the web site is from last February.

With the changes, I'm looking at realigning my packages as I think I can drop one or two.
Thanks

i hope they bring the old programming back when we have the option of pick 7 themes pack with the movies. i used to like this option a lot b'cause i find right now , we do not have lots of option. you???

I would think one will be released soon...

As soon as I have it it would be my pleasure to send it to you

I can send you the updated version of the channel line up liting also where the channels are located at your e-mail adress. I use that sheet more than I use the actual programming brochure

Americaindream there is a package right now that includes the movies. It's the Ultra Value Combo and it cost
72$/month. It gives you the Digital Standard + 6 themes + movies + Show

SKY News and SKY Sports are from the UK.

I know some of their programming is shown but I doubt very much we will ever see the full channels added.

Thanks, but, no, I'd like to wait for the "official" one as I want to be 100% sure when I call to make any potential changes that I have the correct info. Not saying yours isn't correct, but it isn't official from Bell.

11 themes for $40 is a great option and pricing structure for new and existing subcribers. That is approximately $3.60 per theme (for any themes including popular ones like sports, more movies, lifestyle, variety etc)...

From the menu here is the break down:
5 themes: $20
6 themes + premium movies: $41
11 themes: $40
11 themes + premium movies: $56

They do have an updated theme packs link posted on their site just above the link to the brochure.

Those would be great prices if you didn't have to pay the $31 sorry $32 now...........for Digital Standard.

Becoming a new BEV customer, I would appreciate it if you could forward it to me. With the channels spread all over as opposed to the cable that we are used to, it would be a big help and thanks! And thanks for all the information and advice that you post in the forum. It has been a tremendous source of information to me.

I believe EV also has printable channel listings and brochures on their web site for download.

As per AEV, the $1 is optional thus making it $31. So for $51 you get all your basics plus 5 speacialty themes. I prefer this to the competitions package - specifically due to the flexibility of taking the themes you want - not a laundry list of channels they push on you...anyways a matter of choice. Rogers offers $58.97 less $4.49 for basic receiver = $54.48 for a package that they choose - in terms of channels you get or dont get. Some prefer it, some prefer flexibility and choice...

Yes, I prefer flexibility, and while BEV offers a little more flexbility, the most popular channels continue to be available EXCLUSIVELY in theme packs. That's where I think the real flaw in the system is. In that sense, Rogers and BEV are essentially the same - if you want a good, diverse mix of popular channels, you have only two choices: $52 for BEV (Digital Standard plus 5 themes) or Rogers Digital VIP for $54.

The new clients will now be signed with the Digital Standard at 32$ that includes the extra feed. For them it won't be an option...

For existing clients I belive they would leave it the way it is...and if you make change then you will automatically be changed for the new Digital Standard at 32$ (here is a personnal comment, there was no official info yet on that change)

Great, drive up the price a little more. Why would anyone who has HD want US nets? (Apart from PBS.) I once had an option to drop US nets and add an extra package plus save $1 because it was redundant with HD nets. Now customers must pay for both even if they don't want or need them. EV is getting so out of touch with its customers it is getting ridiculous. It won't be long before I am gone from EV's list of paying customers.

A couple of channels dropped, a couple added, a couple changed logos. No big deal. Nothing like the lineup reorganization a few years ago. Also nothing like the 73 channels added just after N2 was launched. Just where are those new channels?

This is absolutely falso AEV. Please refrain from posting information that you are 100% not certain of. It is clear that the $1 is optional, and not mandatory. End of discussion.

YES...

They removed Euronews and Planete
They launched 5 French HD channels
They removed Much Loud and Much More retro
They added Military channel and Bite TV
Tey added BAby TV
They created the Sports 3 theme pack

The new programming brochure shows Digital Standard at 32$ and it includes the extra feed

As for the existing clients I mentionned upfront that I was posting a personnal comment that there was no official info on that change yet (whether existing clients will keep the old Digital Standard at 31$ or will automatically get switched over to the 32$ one)
