I just wanted to clarify that Crabgirl and I weren't allowed to audition. A select few had been selected and they were semi-celebs.

This is Ireland's entry this year...

True story. He's Dustin Hoffman the Turkey.

He's a kid's tv presenting puppet but he's actually very funny. He has even ran for Taoiseach on several occasions.

As regards to Eurovision, it's like that episode of Father Ted all over again. Ireland have won Eurovision 3 times and the winners have to host it the next year. So we lose on purpose coz the bastard thing is too expensive to put on.
 
i thought it was a prank when i first heard this but apparently he is very big in the kids tv shows . like you say chalice its just an excuse so they wont have to host it again for a while
