Perhaps because you put your toadying to the Americans ahead of morality and common sense?
Btw, I do mean English. Most people have no problem with the Scots and Welsh.
Ern T takes the prize for the stupidest answer. Your answer is a typical example of your defining national character - ignorance and arrogance.

Not only have you incorrectly criticised my grammar, your answer is a grammatical mess.

PLUS, I'm not going to list all the Scandinavians, French - and the occasional German and Italian - who have achieved number ones in the UK.

Oh, you're back again.

It is well known that the English aren't particularly liked. It stems from jealousy.

Mainly because they are jealous !

Of our personality and our presence and because our country is better than theirs!

Because we make better music , we build better houses, we are more charitable, are better looking, have more benefits to give away and they want it!

The only thing we dont't do better than the rest of the world is breed politicians - we lag behind in the recent years.

So the answer to your question my friend is - ENVY pure and simple

Eurovision: let's face it, we English entered a really bad song! I wouldn't have voted for it, whatever nationality I was. Don't use a song contest to start a racist rant; it's just a bit of fun! (Unless you get "Nil points" of course.)

That's not the issue, it's block voting that spoils (if that's possible) the event.

If your question is to do with the Eurovision then I'm afraid it does affect the Scottish and the Welsh as we are entered as Great Britain. If you want to know why people hate the English, then that is a different question entirely.
