i am in need of a few important events that happened that are somehow related to Europe. an example is the death of princess Diana. the earliest they can take place is in the 1500's. thanks so much!
 
Cold War

Between 1945 and 1991, Europe was divided between two superpowers and their allies: US led NATO in Western Europe and USSR led Warsaw Pact in the East. The war was 'cold' because there was never a direct military engagement between them, due partly to the presence of nuclear weapons on both sides.

but if you're looking for something a little more specific, what about something like the storming of the Bastille or the beheading of Marie-Antoinette, or something that has to do with Napoleon, like his crowning (he took the crown from the pope and crowned himself), or when he was exiled, or when he came back from exile, or his second (last) exile, or when he lost at Waterloo
 
I hear the reformation was pretty huge.
