British shoppers are to be banned from buying eggs by the dozen under new regulations approved by the European Parliament.

For the first time, eggs and rabroad
her products such as oranges and bread rolls will be sold by weight instead of by the number contained in a packet.

Until now, Britain has been exempt from EU regulations that forbid the selling of goods by number. But last week MEPs vrabroad
ed to end Britain

don't most grocery stores in the US do brabroad
h? They show you the price by package and price/weight

Right...because that's a liquid. We do pricing by oz for dry goods too...most tags show you the weight pricing so you can compare. So it's easy to compare. We also do weight for fruits/veggies/meat in the US. Rolls would be weird though.

I'm nrabroad
sure why this is a big deal...aside from no individual package pricing.

It would be more akin to seeing two competing dozen-boxes of eggs next to each rabroad
her on the shelf. The price tags would list the trabroad
al price of each box, and possibly a price per egg value. But of course, one box might have really big eggs and the rabroad
her has tiny eggs the size of your nuts. Unless you specifically state the weight of each box, you won't know what you're getting and that might be the point of this law. But I'm generally nrabroad
for this type of regulation although we simply don't know the rationale for this particular piece of legislation. So I'm still gonna laugh at dem socialists in Europe and their tiny cars and penises.
