My friend has invited me (and a ton of other people) on a camping trip. She has rented a cabin for a week at a cost of $1000 - when I know she's broker than a joke.
I have a feeling (actually I'm almost 110% sure) she's going to spring on us a bill at the end of the stay for our time there, although she's said nothing about this up front when she asked if we wanted to come.
What is the proper etiquette around this? What if I brought a bunch of steaks and groceries in an attempt to head off her request? Do I give her cash when she asks, or remind her that she never said anything about money before we left the city?
