here's my essay...... we had to act like we were in the time period before the revolutionary war.....we have to write an essay like we are a person from back then, and we have to persuade everyone else to be either a patriot or loyalist (which ever you choose)...PLEASE BE HONEST AND TELL ME IF IT IS GOOD, WHAT I CAN DO BETTER, AND IF IT IS C*****....IT IS KINDA LONG......
Sam Adams, Paul Revere, Patrick Henry. These patriots are great role models and leaders. We need to join them and stand against the British. We need a change and we cannot let the British control us! All of us are capable of being a free and independent nation and the British are treating us unfairly. We need to stand against the British and King George III and fight for what is right.
We are capable of becoming a free and independent nation, but King George III doesn’t believe in us. As Ben Franklin said about the British, “We have an old mother that is peevish is grown; she snubs us like children that scarce walk alone; she forgets we’re grown up and have sense of our own.” We can rule ourselves and we can prove it if King George III gives a chance. We have strong, honest leaders that we can trust. These leaders aren’t like King George III, and they know what is right. They will treat us fairly and are capable of leading us in the right direction, and they have already started. Because of them, we have had the First and Second Continental Congress Meetings. In one of those meetings, we formed the Continental Army. All of us patriots agree and want to be free of Britain, so there won’t be any disagreements. We are tired and fed up of King George III trying to stop us from forming our own nation, and this time he won’t stop us.
We need to be free of the British because they have been treating us unfairly for a while now. First of all, they have been imposing unfair taxes on us. We have to buy stamps for all printed goods, and it is really unreasonable. It isn’t even benefiting the loyalists because they still have to pay the taxes, so what is the point? If they keep this up, people will become in debt because of tax. Also, why should we pay these taxes to pay off the king’s debts? If we become our own free nation, I know that we won’t be taxed unnecessarily. No taxation without representation!!! Also, we are being mistreated by having to let soldiers stay at our house so they can protect us, but from what? We shouldn’t have to give up our beds for soldiers that we don’t support. Also, somebody over 3000 miles away from us should not rule us. They are too far away, so they shouldn’t be able to control us and tell us what to do. In addition, the British Army fired at us first during the Boston Massacre. Why should we trust King George if his army attacks us?
