Im really scared, the past 14 days I have been battling a nasty cold

Symptoms of the cold, Sore throat, Post nasal drip, runny nose. (Not anymore though, just post nasal drip and occasionally stuffy nose)

This morning I woke up coughed like hell got the mucus out of the back of my throat. Took my medication and off to work I go. At work I realized it was painful to swallow almost felt like I had a ball of food/phlegm blocking my Esophagus. I was very scared.

I came home and was coughing and threw up, a lot of phlegm came up. I then forced my self to puke I didnt see any phlegm but I did feel a lot of relief. Right now its definitely not as bad as it was earlier but still some slight pain/irritation.

What could this be? The night before I had terrible heart burn from 2 slices of pizza... Could post nasal drip go down into the Esophagus?

PLEASE HELP!

Yes, that's where the drainage goes. That's why you get nauseaus when you have alot of drainage. It runs down to your tummy and gives you an upset stomach. I would suggest that you take a good antihistamine to dry up those nasal secretions and see if that doesn't help some. I would take a once a day one like zyrtex. Take one of the non drowsy ones if you are affected by those that make you sleepy.

I am getting an endoscopy done because I am expierencing burning in the esophagus too. I also feel a bump by the anus, I feel as if its a anal abcess I have had those before. I dont know why I keep getting them back I dont have Chrons ( I dont signs of it at least) I dont have aids and or Diabities. It keeps reacurring in the same spot.

Tomorrow when I go in for my endoscopy I will have my GI check it out.
