Esodilation during EGD - How long should it hurt?

I had an EGD last Monday and they found my throat and esophagus were 50% closed. The doctor dilated my throat and esophagus and told me it would be sore for about a day. It is now Sunday and my throat still hurts quite a bit and my esophagus as well, especially if I bend over. Has anyone else experienced this? Should it still be hurting six days after the procedure?

I had an EGD and dilation. My throat was sore and I coughed a lot, especially when bending over. This lasted about six weeks.

I had my esophagus dilated twice and neither time was I in pain for more than 1 or 2 days maximum. I hope you are feeling better.
