ESN switch to my old phone (i found it!)

First of all, hello from Chicago! :)

So here's my dilemma. I bought the LG VX100 over a year ago with a new plan, new customer, etc. About 2 months into it, I lost my phone, or at least I thought I did. So Verizon deactivated that ESN and I got a replacement LG VX100 which I have been using ever since. About a month ago, when I was moving, I found my original phone, and decided to hang onto it. For the past 2 weeks or so, my current phone has been acting crazy, turning itself off, resetting everything to factory without me prompting it, etc. Since I have the other phone, I wanted to do an ESN change, since it's still in awesome condition. Problem is, Verizon won't let me because they said the ESN is invalid since I reported it lost. Is there any way around this? I have a perfectly good phone I'd like to use again :(

Thanks in advance for any help.

It's on a negative list. Call verizon and get to tech support. Tech support can remove it from the list. Assuming it was originally on your account.
