Error Message while logged into chat?

I keep getting an error message while logged into chat for a short time. The message is: "Yahoo! Messenger has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." I have rebooted the computer and uninstalled messenger and still get the same problem. Help!!
