Error message: Unable to find sync DLL

I have a Sony Clie T615 which I have been using with Intellisync on my Windows XP computer with Outlook. It was working great, but recently by mistake Intellisync was deleted. When I reinstalled Intellisync, it would not work. So then I uninstalled Palm Desktop Clie along with Intellisync, and reinstalled both of these apps. Now, when I Hot Synch it recognizes the CLIE, and goes through contacts, notes, todo, calender, but with each one gives this error message:

Unable to find the synchronization DLL.

Does anyone know what this means? (Again, I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling everything, and it didn't help.)

Thanks

When you initiate the hot sync, monitor the hardware device manager off of the My Computer Properties area. Watch for the USB blip for the Sony Device and try to delete it.

The computer may then find "new hardware" and allow the PC to install the software from the hard drive and not from the CD.

You can also try being certain that during your installation from the Sony CD that you have your antivirus software disabled. If you've updated to Win XP SP2 some of the dll files look "nasty" to the antivirus software's out there and they really don't allow them to install properly. So make certain that you have your AV disabled when installing.

Thanks for the help. Before I got your reply, I actually had read that the Intellisync Lite is supposed to be uninstalled. After I uninstalled it, everything worked fine.
