epic fail at chocolate crackles?

I used the donna hay recipe for chocolate crackes
-100g butter
-1/3 cup of golden syrup
-4 cups rice bubbles
-200g chocolate

i melted the chocolate and butter and poured it over the ricebubbles finding i didnt have enough because i forgot to put in the golden syrup so what i did was got more chocolate (about 150g) and melted it with the golden syrup then poured that into the mix of choc and rice bubbles and mixed it in. by this time it was a bit tricky because the chocolate already started to set but whatever. then i put it all in patty pans but most of them either set and crumble just buy touch and the rest just didnt set and are crumbly anyway. How can i fix this or are they just ruined and i should eat them all?
