EE is like an allergic reaction/ inflamation in the esophogus. Eosinophilas are white blood cells often associated with asthma and they are part of the body's immune system. They show up on biopsy during an endoscopy. It causes treatment resistant acid reflux, narrowing of the esophogus , and food getting lodged or near getting lodged (problems swallowing).
My acid reflux has been very very bad the last 4 years. Sometimes i thought i was having a heart attack. Otherwise it felt like an elephant was sitting on my chest while a horse wearing high heels kicked me in my spine.
I still have GERD though .. thanks to the muscle that doesnt fully work anymore. =\
