env touch facebook and gmail not working?

I just got my new env touch flashed to cricket last night, and every website works except for the two important ones for me! facebook I can get to and everything but when i try to login it takes forever then eventually times out..connection reset i think it says..and with gmail I cant even get to the website!? i dont want to have to get rid of the phone, otherwise it's quite nifty, but I need my email! if anyone has any suggestions or ideas i'd be quite appreciative...

At the bottom of the facebook login page there should be a link for the "Try The Alternate Login"

Try that and it should work.
 
It has to do with the polaris browser, doesn't like to play nice with any https sites on cricket. So far I haven't heard of a fix with that browser, you might have to go down to firmware that had the obigo browser. I did, you lose some bells and whistles but now I can log into email, facebook, ebay, and even get youtube to work. I would highly recommend finding someone to downgrade your firmware safely if you don't know how to, it is very risky if you're not sure what you're doing. So the only fix so far that I know of is downgrading firmware back to before polaris browser update (vx11kv06 is right before I believe). Bitpim tree backup is your best friend in this.
