I was attempting to enter my car this afternoon after work, and I felt a sudden jerk and quick release on the door handle. The handle is still attached to the car, but it seems it has become disconnected from the mechanism inside the door. The passenger side door lock has been messed up for a good while now, someone broke in a couple years ago and while the door works I can't unlock it from outside. I do have access to the trunk, and when I look at the back seats from in there there are two little switches. I tried pushing on the seats with them in either up or down position but didn't really see any success, it felt the same either way. Is there some other bit that I may have missed? I do have a bit of clutter in there which I will be able to remove tomorrow when I go to my car which was obscuring my view of some of the wall in that area, but I'd like an advance idea of what else I may be able to do.
