I need the name of a legitimate historian who supports the United States' decision to use the atomic bomb against Japan. I need the answer quickly, but it also needs to be a good, legitimate historian who has written scholarly articles on the subject. I will choose best answer, will not go to vote.
I am asking for historians, not your personal opinions, however touching, realistic, or ignorant they may be. To the person who said 1 million American lives, that number has been proven to be grossly exaggerated. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
now now now, I never said the decision was a wrong one, all I said was, it has now been shown that 1,000,000 was inaccurate.
I appreciate the help washindon, but I am looking more for an article in a scholarly journal that I would be able to find on Jstor.
