enlisting in the military?

how can i tell if i'm just "romanticizing" about the military and enlisting? theres times where i'm like i really want to do this and i'm going to do it and then theres other times where it gets really overwhelming. any advice?

We cannot read your mind and we can't tell you what to do.

Do you really want to join or are you thinking about joining but unsure because its something different.
