If their is no point to life and people say it is about enlightenment but you still have to live here and now in zen at least, then what is the point of enlightenment.
I have experienced had a deep and unexplainable 'aha' moment when I understood some koans,
I have even had the understanding of life is suffering in an aha moment.
but still if you have to do things like living, then what is the point of enlightenment?
If enlightenment is real, and its not a permanent thing, and the world will always be horrible, then why should I do it?
and don't say things like "it doesn't exist" I didn't ask you. you'll be just as bad as those christian you so demonize.
