Enlarged salivary gland?

Has anyone ever experienced this? Did it go away or did you need treatment? How long did it last? The dr. said I have one but not to worry about it.

Localized salivary gland infections are fairly common. If it gets red or hot or painful you'll need antibiotics, other than that it'll go back down on it own.

If you get it again, you may be having salivary duct stones, "sialoliths" - my mother gets them - they're annoying but not usually serious. They can be seen on x-ray.

Tart candies, like lemon drops, can increase flow and reduce swelling.

i had a cyst in my sublingual salivary gland that almost affected my submandibular glands - and i got it drained with needle aspiration. it was basically all fluid for me, though i dont know if yours might be some obstructive salivary gland disorder like stones blocking the ducts or abnormal constriction of the ducts etc
